Tour du Mont Blanc huts in order: the refuges list, night by night

The classic Tour du Mont Blanc is eleven stages anticlockwise from Les Houches, which means ten nights on the trail. Six of those ten stage ends book on one site, the platform of the TMB refuge wardens’ association, open for summer 2027 since 15 October 2026. The other four do not: Rifugio Elisabetta, the hotels of Courmayeur, Rifugio Bonatti and La Flégère each book on their own, on their own dates. Here is every night in order, who takes the booking and when.

The left column is where the stage ends. The middle column names the places in that village or close to the line; the platform lists more, sorted by village. “Platform” means the booking site of the Association des Gardiens de Refuges et Gîtes du Tour du Mont-Blanc, montourdumontblanc.com.

3 · Rifugio Elisabettaday 3: 14 km, 1,100 m upRifugio Elisabetta. Before the Col de la Seigne: Refuge des Mottets.Elisabetta books by email or phone. Its site says booking is compulsory and asks a deposit, but its only dated opening is 1 June 2024: no 2027 date. Les Mottets is on the platform, and on 17 October 2026 at 17:10 it showed 21 of its 31 July 2027 nights as full.
4 · Courmayeurday 4: 15.5 km, 580 m upThe hotels of Courmayeur. In Val Veny, on the way down: Cabane du Combal, Rifugio Maison Vieille, Gite le Randonneur du Mont Blanc, Rifugio Monte Bianco – CAI Uget.The Courmayeur hotels book direct, like any hotel. The four Val Veny places are on the platform.
5 · Rifugio Bonattiday 5: 12 km, 1,080 m upRifugio Walter Bonatti. In Val Ferret: Rifugio G. Bertone, Hôtel Funivia, Rifugio Chapy Mont Blanc, Hôtel Lavachey, Hôtel Chalet Val Ferret.Bonatti books through its own form, by email or by phone. On 19 October 2026 the form took only its winter season, 13 February to 30 March 2027, and the site gave no summer date. The Val Ferret places are on the platform.

Or the Refuge du Lac Blanc.La Flégère takes requests from 5 January 2027 at 00:01 and handles them in order of arrival; requests sent before that date are not answered. For a booking of several nights or dates it asks 50% of the total, not refundable once paid. The Lac Blanc books on its own site, which on 19 October 2026 showed only its 2026 season.

On 19 October 2026 the platform listed 44 refuges, gîtes and hotels. Rifugio Elisabetta, Rifugio Bonatti, Rifugio Elena, the Refuge du Lac Blanc, La Flégère, the Chalet des Contamines and the Refuge de Bellachat were not among them.

What the Croix du Bonhomme closure changes

The Refuge de la Croix du Bonhomme, at 2,443 m on the pass of the same name, has been completely closed to the public since 17 August 2026. The FFCAM, which owns it, reopens it in summer 2029, and says there is no accommodation and no reception at all while the work lasts; the building site is off-limits.

It was the only shelter at the top of the Bonhomme cols. On the classic stages that changes day 2: you can no longer split it at the pass. You sleep before the climb, at Nant Borrant or La Balme, or after it, at Les Chapieux or Les Mottets. Neither the FFCAM nor the official TMB site names a replacement.

Our expectation, not a fact: those four places fill earlier in 2027 than they used to. The first sign is Les Mottets, with 21 of 31 July nights full two days after the platform opened.

How many refuges are on the Tour du Mont Blanc booking platform?

On 19 October 2026 the platform of the TMB refuge wardens’ association listed 44 refuges, gîtes and hotels. Rifugio Elisabetta, Rifugio Bonatti, Rifugio Elena, the Refuge du Lac Blanc and La Flégère were not among them.

Which TMB refuges do not book on the platform?

Is the Refuge de la Croix du Bonhomme open in 2027?

No. It has been closed since 17 August 2026 and the FFCAM reopens it in summer 2029, with no accommodation and no reception during the work.
