Jämtlandstriangeln: 3 stages and when to book
The friendliest way into the Scandinavian mountains: a three-day loop between the staffed fjällstations at Storulvån, Sylarna and Blåhammaren, with beds, meals and drying rooms every night. Open fjäll, cairned paths, light packs. If a big trek feels like too much yet, start here.
Start and finish: Storulvån.
The 3 stages
| Day | Stage | Distance | Climb |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Storulvån → Sylarna | 15.6 km | 418 m |
| 2 | Sylarna → Blåhammaren | 17.8 km | 395 m |
| 3 | Blåhammaren → Storulvån | 11.8 km | 25 m |
The line is the trail authority’s own CC0 geometry, but elevation comes from a terrain model and times are computed. Treat the figures as close rather than exact.
Book these first
All three fjällstations book online through STF, and one basket covers the whole triangle. No phone calls needed.
- STF Blåhammaren
- STF Sylarna
STF membership takes a meaningful cut off every night and pays for itself over three nights.
Blåhammaren is small and famous for its kitchen: it fills first.
